Design Sponge Home Tour: Michelle Peele Floral

Michelle Peele Kitchen by Meredith Perdue

I had the chance to shoot the home of Michelle & Ed Peele in Alna for Design Sponge this winter and the tour went live this spring! There are so many great details and vignettes to photograph in their renovated cape that overlooks the Sheepscot River. This was the first of two shoots we’re doing at their home this year – the next will be in the summer when the lupine and peonies are in bloom. I can’t wait!

Preferred Hotels Instagram Takeover

Meredith Perdue Palmetto Bluff

I recently partnered with Preferred Hotels in taking over their Instagram account for a day to recap a recent trip of mine to Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. This was my second takeover for the Preferred brand – the first was an effort to promote their dog-friendly hotels and their Preferred Pups giveaway that we happened to win with our dog a few years ago.

Amie Artisans

Amie Artisans Photo by Meredith Perdue

It’s always an honor to be asked to shoot for another photographer, so I was delighted to hear from my friend and fellow photographer, Meredith Brockington, about coming down to take some photos of her at her holiday pop-up shop for her newly launched brand, Amie.

For even more about Amie, we published a Shop Tour on Map & Menu which highlights Meredith’s inspiration for the brand, the reasons she chose to focus on women-made goods, and more. And be sure to follow Amie’s lovely feed on Instagram!

Thirty by Forty for Down East Magazine

Eric Reinholdt Thirty by Forty in Down East Magazine

My latest assignment for Down East Magazine is out on newsstands now. Last winter I traveled up to the town of Mount Desert to photograph the home of Eric and Laura Reinholdt, where they live with their two boys and their spunky cat. Eric is an architect and the founder of 30×40 Design Workshop, and works out of his studio, which is adjacent to his home, The Longhouse. Inspired by the simplicity of Native American Longhouses, Eric designed his family’s home as a modern take on the efficient, one room wide structure.

Jamini Design

Meredith Perdue for Jamini Design

While shooting photos for a Map & Menu piece on Fitz & Bennett Home, one of the Old Port’s newest shops, I fell in love with the Jamini Design pillows featured prominently throughout the shop. The colorful lifestyle brand by Usha Bora is a blend of “Indian elegance and Parisian chic.” Over the past few weeks, I’ve been tickled to see some of the below photos from the Fitz & Bennett tour pop up on Jamini’s social accounts.

I look forward to picking out a few Jamini pieces to incorporate into our home, although I’m having an impossibly difficult time narrowing down my wishlist to only a few items.

Rêve Cycling Interview

Meredith Perdue for Reve Cycling Studio

Over the past year and a half I’ve had the opportunity to concept and shoot imagery for Portland’s favorite cycling studio, Rêve. I’ve never left one of these shoots without a feeling of inspiration or a sense of enthusiasm – the energy at Rêve is incredible, thanks to the community created there by founder Stephanie Cabot.

I was so pleased to be a part of their Q&A series on the Rêve blog earlier this year. Click here to read through the feature and if you’re in the Portland area and haven’t yet been to a Rêve class, be sure to take a peek at their schedule – you won’t regret it!
